Shipping & Delivery

DME Hi-Fi ship goods Australia wide Monday – Friday within 24 hours of your purchase. If the purchase is before midday during the working week your order will be shipped on the same day. All products are shipped via TNT Express or Australia Post and once the product is shipped you will receive the tracking details to ensure your product is on its way.

Most items have free delivery however exact shipping costs are calculated in the shopping cart and will be added to the order total before checkout.

Unless specified delivery times for your order are:

  • Sydney 1-2 working days
  • Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide metro 1-3 working days,
  • Perth metro 4 working days
  • All other areas 5-7 working days.

DME Hi-Fi does not ship internationally through our website however please contact us at to enquire about a special order.


Returns & Refunds

DME Hi-Fi consider all returns on a case by case basis however we do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. You can choose between a refund, exchange or credit where goods are faulty, have been wrongly described, are different to the product purchased on the website or don’t perform as advertised.

However to be eligible for any return we require the item is returned within 10 days of the delivery and in new, saleable condition with all original packaging. Of course for any faulty products that are delivered we will organise a replacement at no cost to you!
Our policy lasts 10 days. If 10 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted
CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 10 days after delivery

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a cheque will be sent to the original delivery address unless an alternate address is specified. The cheque will be issued within 10 days.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you have recieved a defective or damaged product we do apologise. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at and send your item to: DME HiFi, 3/20 Young St Neutral Bay New South Wales AU 2089.

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
